Leaderboards & Rankings
Section titled “Leaderboards & Rankings”Leaderboards add a competitive element to Michigan Spots, letting you see how your exploration achievements compare to other players. Whether you’re competing globally or just with friends, leaderboards provide motivation and recognition for your adventures.
Types of Leaderboards
Section titled “Types of Leaderboards”Global Rankings
Section titled “Global Rankings”The main leaderboards that include all players:
- All-Time Points: Total points earned since joining
- Monthly Points: Points earned in the current month
- Weekly Points: Points earned in the current week
- Daily Points: Points earned today
- Spots Discovered: Total number of unique spots visited
- Challenges Completed: Number of challenges finished
Geographic Leaderboards
Section titled “Geographic Leaderboards”Rankings based on location:
- State Rankings: All Michigan players
- Regional Rankings: Upper Peninsula vs Lower Peninsula
- City Leaderboards: Players from the same city
- County Rankings: Players within specific counties
- Metro Area: Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing metro areas
- Tourist Regions: Traverse City, Mackinac Island, etc.
Category-Specific Rankings

How Rankings Are Calculated
